6 “Must Watch” Christmas Flicks

Everyone has a list of what really are the best holiday movies going and those list’s can really vary. For me personally the movies below are the top couple that I have to see every few years. And some fall more into the every year category!

1) Elf – where such classics as “The best way to spread Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear. ” and “We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup” came from. You can’t watch this one without smiling!

2) Home Alone ( 1,2,or 3) – A John Hughes Christmas film , yes please! Plus the grouping featured a kid taking charge so as a kid watching this film became an easy favourite.

3) Christmas Vacation – a family whose vacations go from bad to worse in the best way possible trying to have the best holiday ever has to be a good time!

4)Miracle of 34th Street- I think by this time it’s easy to see I enjoy John Hughes work! Personally I’ve only seen the updated film but either or will fill the space and deliver the same enjoyment.

5) A Christmas Story – This classic has Canadian roots with seven of the nine weeks of shooting taking place in the Toronto area! Supposedly this move was done for tax reasons.

6) The Grinch Who Stole Christmas – And what kind of list would this be without the Grinch included! Image
